Weight Management Program to be Held at Parkland Medical Center
Parkland Medical Center will host a 10-week "Balance & Control for Weight Management" program starting on Tuesday, September 26, 2006. The program will be held Tuesday evenings from 6:45 to 8:00 p.m. The program is open to any adult who needs and wants to lose weight to improve their health and will also benefit those who have a medical condition that can be managed with healthy eating. "Through structured discussions, education and personal empowerment, "Balance & Control for Weight Management" is a skill building approach that helps participants make healthful food choices and lifestyle decisions," said Kristen Flagg, Registered Dietitian (RD). "During each weekly group session, body weight will be measured, food records will be discussed and an education lecture will be presented." The program will be held in the Nutfield Professional Building, 44 Birch Street, Entrance B, Suite 300. Insurance companies may reimburse for the $180 cost of the program.
